Have you ever played the Harvest Moon video games, where you try to save the village by getting an old farm up and running again? I’ve only played the one, “Save the Homeland,” but I love it. So when Alijah on ModTheSims2 started this Sims 2 challenge, I had to give it a go! Here are the original rules:

Basically, your one sim has to spend all his/her money buying the largest lot available, then build up a farm from nothing, living only off the land. No jobs, and no ordering groceries after the fridge runs dry. The game is over after three whole years. (Must have Seasons.)
After having started poor Lance (you’ll see why I say that) with the biggest lot you can buy, we have agreed that makes things VERY hard and I believe now she is letting people start with the second-largest lot. But I started with the biggest lot, which gave Lance a huge piece of land and only $1500 to furnish it.
This is where it starts…follow the story by reading the chapters according to the menu. I have assigned a category to each chapter. Please leave comments, as they really inspire me to keep playing and keep udating and make things more fun for both of us, at least I hope so! Thanks for your interest!

I love live off the land challenges.
LOL…me, too. Too bad I failed on this one. When it was announced, I had just done one for myself, actually. But I started with a couple with the starter money, and my goal was to live off the land and have 10 kids without ever buying groceries or getting jobs, not even the teens. She’s pregnant with her 9th! That was way easier than this.
